Job Description

 We are currently looking for a Planning & Scheduling Specialist for our metro project in Doha, Qatar

  •  Review the Contractor’s Project Controls Plan for compliance against the Client’s Company Management System (CMS) - Project Controls and Reporting Plan.
  • Review the Contractor’s time programme(s) for completion of the works and report to the Senior Planner whether the submissions are fit for purpose, or make recommendations for improvement.
  • Report to the Senior Planner in a timely manner, any potential or actual delays / bottlenecks / problems which may affect the overall completion and provide recommendations for suitable mitigation measures.
  • Adhere to the applicable legislation and statutory requirements, as well as any customer specific requirements
  • Review on a monthly basis, or whenever requested, the progress of the Contractor, evaluate the percentage complete of each activity as indicated in the Contractor’s Schedule and review such percentage with the Contractor.
  • Carries out the Consultant Services required for this position and deemed to represent the minimum acceptable qualifications for the Services
  • Prepare comprehensive Primavera Project P6 based Schedule, Resource and cost loaded CPM, Master Schedule
  • Monthly update, or as required by the Client, of the Master Target Schedule, after its approval
  • Produce and submit for Client’s review, a summary level Bar Chart/Report.
  • Reviews documents to verify compliance with codes and standards, regulations and regulatory commitments.
  • Report to Project Controls Manager when required
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
  • Create and promote  a continuous improvement approach on his work
  • Assesses critical points in the Project Time Schedule and the consequences in case of delays, changes, claims, etc
  • Contacts PMCS’s Senior Planner with regard to clarifications associated with aspects having an impact.
  • Deliver high quality, safe and reliable services
  • Create and promote  a continuous improvement approach on his work
  • Ensure that the Contractor provides, maintains and updates progress schedules reflecting the full scope of the work in the form of activities, milestones and relationships between activities/milestones and which clearly identify the critical paths(s) necessary to meet the schedule requirements.
  • Review on a monthly basis, or whenever requested, the progress of the MSI Contractor, evaluate the percentage complete in each activity as indicated in the MSI Contractor’s Schedule and review such percentage with the Senior Planner

 

Technical Diploma

  • Has total experience of more than 10 years
  • Has similar experience of at least 5 years
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role on a comparable international transit system.
  • Can undertake complex technical support tasks with limited supervision such as drafting, graphic design, engineering support, site inspections, IT network administration, document control, KPI computation.
