Our construction client is seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to direct projects across the country. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution, schedule, quality, safety and financial success of assigned projects. All applicants must be willing to travel.   Must Have : Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, or other related field. Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Familiarity of building codes and their application. Knowledge of material handling equipment, industrial HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Ability to travel for extended periods of time – usually 2-3 months on one project.   Key Responsibilities: The Construction Project Manager is responsible for monitoring engineering and permitting process prior to start of construction. Oversee labor personnel on project, coordinating any activities with the Superintendent. Develop and manage project schedules at least 3 weeks out and continue to monitor and update the project schedule as needed. All applicants must be willing to travel and be comfortable living on the road until completion of projects.   Summary of Duties: The Construction Framing Foreman will be responsible for reading blue prints and planning day to day work to be able to perform specific carpentry tasks. Daily review of “work in place” and compliance of work. Responsible for construction work, subcontractor coordination, supervision, jobsite safety and coordination of inspections. Manage overall safety, maintain daily paperwork such as timecards and final reports. Reports to Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.   Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma is required. 3+ years of direct carpentry framing experience. Experience in supervising a direct hire workforce and subcontractors. Solid working knowledge of rough carpentry and general construction. Able to read and understand blue prints and other construction documents. Ability to resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions.
